Some Of My Favorite Colors Are Gray
When you cannot tell the time of day
And never worry about what you say
Where no one claims to know the way
And the way you think is a-okay
Where right and wrong aren’t in the way
That’s the place I like to stay
Where being out doesn’t mean you’re gay
And no one cares what games you play
Where people see but seldom say
Lest they draw the fear your way
To a place I wish quietly to lay
No matter what the time of day
Free to chose what’s on my tray
And troubles can be kept at bay
Be they light or dark
But never gray.
